Two friends decided one Saturday, after a short debate, to take a flat bottom boat and float down the Conasauga River, in north Georgia. One friend was named ‘Jack’, and the other was named ‘Dick’. The idea of exploring the river was Jack’s. He had the flat bottom boat, and he was familiar with the river, since he lived in the area. Dick just went along with the idea because he thought it would be a good opportunity to take his short re-curve bow, and shoot fish or big bullfrogs. He equipped his bow with a fishing arrow and reel, allowing him to retrieve any fish or frogs he might shoot on the trip. After gathering necessary gear and provisions for the day trip, all that was left was to somehow get to the river.
